The Best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

“I’m not kidding– I think these are the best cookies I’ve ever had.”

As requested, here is the recipe for these amazing cookies! They are the perfect mix of chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. Although they are homemade, they were pretty easy.

All you’ll need besides the actual ingredients is:
1 medium bowl
1 larger bowl
a handheld or large mixer (either works- I used a handheld)
large spoon for mixing
baking tray
something to scoop the cookies onto the tray

For the actual cookies you’ll need:
1/2 cup regular flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted and softened butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups uncooked oatmeal/oat mix of your choice
2 cups any chocolate chips you prefer

Then to make the cookies:

  1. preheat oven to 350ºF and line or use a Silpat like mine
  2. combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in the medium bowl, then set aside
  3. in the large bowl, mix butter and both sugars on medium until fluffy
  4. add the eggs to the large bowl one at a time, then add vanilla
  5. slowly start to add the flour mix to the large bowl
  6. mix in oatmeal with spoon or other mixing utensil of choice
  7. fold chocolate chips into mix also with a spoon
  8. scoop about a quarter cup size cookies onto sheet
  9. bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until edges are brown

I let mine cool on a rack and kept the mix in the fridge between batches.
