Coming to you at the end of this week. I don’t know about you, but after going back to school full time this week, it’s been a busy one! This week I wanted to focus on gratitude and really dive into that… so let’s do it!
Gratitude: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. (thanks Google)
Cool, there’s the definition, now what?
My mind instantly goes to “how can I make this a habit?” Sure, we can take about 5 seconds and list about 3 things we’re grateful for (food, water, shelter, family–already past my guess), but what if we incorporated this into who we are? What if we really took this idea to heart and used it every day to the point that it becomes an unconscious thing that keeps your mood up? Sign me up for that, sis.
I’m sure you’ve heard somewhere that it takes 21 days to create a new habit or to break an old one (ever heard of the 21 day fix diet?). Now, we’re not totally sure how scientific that 21 day thing is, but for our purposes, I think it’s all we need. This comes down to 3 weeks. 3 Sundays, 3 Mondays, etc. Doesn’t sound too hard now does it? Not even a whole month of commitment. And the best part? It’s all yours. Don’t have time to sit down and plan it all out? Cool, you don’t need to! Find what you want and what will work with your schedule because I know, if you’re anything like me, you’re super busy and love the idea, but probably won’t put it into practice.

Right now, get out something to write with/on or your phone notes, or I guess make a mental note if that really works for you. We’re going to list 21 things that we are grateful for right now. I encourage you to pause here and actually think of them yourself, but if you’re stuck or just want to know what mine are I’m going to do this too.

Okay, totally honest-I got stuck after 11. You’re not alone if you struggle to find 21 things, I’m right here with you. Another option for this? Take 21 days and think of something new each day. It’s almost like a mini version of journaling. Finding something good in every day and focusing/documenting that can be huge. They can be totally trivial or super important, it’s 100% up to you.

Below I’ve created a guide for these next 21 days. There are 3 pages that can be printed or just downloaded (pdf and png files) that you can have for FREE. How?
- subscribe via email
- go to my contact page
- input your name, email, and message “I want your 21DOG guide!”
- wait for email (I’m sending these out personally for now- please allow up to 48 hours for this!)
- do with it what you please
What it will look like:
